The Tyrol born Heinz Winkler counts to the best chefs of the world for more than two decades. As chef of the Munich 'Tantris' he became the world's youngest 3-star-chef at the age of 31. Until today, there has been no younger chef awarded this way. In 1988 the 'Club of Chefs of Chefs', an organization of chefs working for queens and government heads, made him an honorary member as one of few autonomous master chefs. In 2001 he received the Federal Cross of Merit from prime minister Edmund Stoiber.

Child Policy :

Children until the age of 4 years stay for free, children between 4 and 12 years of age pay a rate of EUR 30, children up from 12 years pay EUR 60 for an extra bed.

Area information :

Lots of those things, which create a panache of luxury at the RESIDENZ, cannot be bought for money: a wonderful countryside between Chiemsee and Chiemgauer Mountains, beyond the Kampenwand rocks, just always half an hour away from Salzburg and Munich.

Travel information :

Motorway A8 Munich - Salzburg, Motorway gateway: Frasdorf/ Aschau. Turn left in direction of Aschau, after approximately 3 km city sign Aschau, turn into fourth street on the right side, orientate yourself to church, where the RESIDENZ is directly located.

Cancellation Policy :

After successful confirmation the reservation is guaranteed and can be cancelled free until 14 days before day of arrival. For later cancellations we will charge 80% of the lodging rate.
