The Hotel Central was completely remodelled and renovated in 1995, the lobby was enlarged, the bistro and junior suites were build new. The garage is locked and video-surveyed. A 3 minutes walk through a park takes you to the main railroad-station. Within a 5 minutes drive you are at the highway. The centre and main road for shopping is a 10 minutes walk and the sightseeing parts like the castle, the old university, the old bridge etc. are a 20 minutes walk away.

The hotel is centrally located. Only a 4 minutes walk away from the main railroad station. 10 minutes distance to the old part of town and congress hall. From Direction Frankfurt: Highway A5, exit Heidelberg, Right lane - Hotelroute B. Pass the mainstation, the hotel is located 200 m. on the right. From direction Karlsruhe: A5 exit Heidelberg/Schwetzingen, direction centre (ca. 2 km) over the Montpellierbridge, 2nd. traffic light left into Kaiserstrasse. By train: Hauptbahnhof (main trainstation) main exit, 150 m direction centre (Innenstadt), right into Kaiserstrasse.
