The Hotel Metamorphis is situated in the historical part of the Old Town of Prague (Ungelt), which is included on the UNESCO heritage list. The hotel offers 24 rooms, all of which have been sensitively restored into the original historical building. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and fully equipped with shower and/or bath, WC, minibar, SAT/TV and Pay-TV, direct-dial telephone, internet connection and are partly air conditioned. The building houses two restaurants - a café and Club restaurant, which also serve international cuisine.

The hotel is situated on one of the oldest parts of Prague, which is mentioned at the monument list of UNESCO, in the former fortification of Ungelt – Tyn square. The hotel offers 24 rooms, which are sentively built into the former spaces of the building. The rooms offer stunning view of the Tyn square and Tyn church, the St. Jacob church and the narrow Old Town lanes. All the rooms are equipped by WC, bath with bathtub and/or shower, SAT-TV, telephone, miniber, the majority of rooms is air-conditioned. The access to the rooms is possible by lift, parking space available. The hotel offers 2 restaurants: CAFÉ Restaurant: A cosy little café, where you can choose from a wide range of Italian cuisine and desserts. CLUB Restaurant: Is situated in the former ground-floor of the building. It offers a wide choice of Czech and international cuisine. Café Restaurant Everybody can find a little corner for himself on the ground floor at the small, cosy café. From april to the end of october, even a summer terrace stands at your proposal. You can invite your business friends to enjoyable business lunch, your partner for a cup of coffee or a glass of good vintage wine. In the menu, you will find Italian specialities of wide range, from salads, pasta, steaks to pizza, which is prepared directly in front of you, and a wide choice of desserts and ice-cream sundaes. You will not miss domestic and italian wines, draft beer and mixed drinks either. Every day, you can use our special daily offer, in the value of the meals from 75,- CZK. The pleasant lunch or dinner atmosphere will grow even stronger, while overlooking the Týn church spires. Opening hours: 9.00 am - 1.00 am Club Restaurant Is situated in the former spaces of the building, which during the 12th century served as entrance spaces into the whole object. The rests of the Romanian building and the former coat from the 16th century have been preserved there. The atmosphere of the broken spaces of the restaurant is growing stronger every night with accompanying live piano music and the decent light decorations, which make you feel like spellbound by the original architecture. You can enjoy the culinary experience by choosing meals of both Bohemian and even international cuisine and make it grow even stronger by quality Bohemian or foreign wines. In this restaurant, we serve the hotel breakfast (in buffet form) as well. The spaces of the restaurant are suitable for holding of several events, conferences, family or business events, wedding receptions, banquets, cocktails etc. and this can be held directly in the heart of the historical centre of Prague. Welcome to the historical centre of ancient Prague, mentioned on the list of the UNESCO world cultural heritage. The first mentions of this location date back to the 9th century. The hotel is situated in the original walled area called Ungelt-Týn Court-yard. If you enter from the eastern side, you will pass through the original gate, later joined together with the other houses. By that time,three houses were standing there, one of them called the Blue House nowadays the Hotel Metamorphis with custom-house in their neighbourhood. During the 12th century, lively trading flourished here, ensuring economical prosperity of this important European trade intersection. In the end of the 17th century,an outstanding architect named P.I.Bayer, who was removing the consequences of the great fire back during 1689, gave the Týn court-yard its present appearance.

Travel information :

Location: • The A-underground station Staroměstská (Old Town), passing through the Kaprova street, across the Old-Town Square and passing through the narrow street nearby the Tyn Church into the Tyn Court-yard behind the church. • The B-underground station or tram station Náměstí republiky (Republic Square) by passing around the department store Kotva into its second entrance on the opposite site, then further continuing into the Jakubská street. At the end of this street, you will enter the old gate into the Tyn Court. • By car: drive from the Moldau river into the Revoluční street, pass the traffic lights directly straight to Dlouhá street and follow until you reach the big department store Kotva on the right side of you, turn right, as if you were driving into the parkhouse, but continue around and follow the street into its end, the turn right to Rybná and immediatelly left again, into Jakubská street. At the end of this street, in front of you, you can drive in through the gate into the Tyn Court-yard.
