The charming Hotel Constans is situated underneath Prague Castle, only a few minutes walk from Lesser Town square and Charles bridge. The hotel offers 32 luxurious rooms and suites, all of which are equipped with shower/bath, toilet, satellite TV, minibar, safe, direct-dial telephone and are partially air-conditioned. The whole object of the Hotel Constans has risen by joining of 3 16-century houses together. Each of them is connected with stays of historical personalities and artists. The hotel is situated in the Lesser Town, directly in the centre of historical Prague. The hotel offers accommodation in 31 spacious rooms, double and twin rooms, suites and appartements and 1 single room. All the rooms are equipped by WC, bath with bathtub and/or shower, minibar, SAT-TV, safe, telephone. The attic rooms are air-conditioned. The access to the rooms is possible by lift, parking possible in the underground garages, with spaces for 18 cars. The hotel restaurant with 36 places is sentively placed in the former ground-floor of the building. It offers a wide choice of Czech and international cuisine and possibility of holding social events, eg. cocktail parties, wine tasting, company parties etc. Newly a winter-garden has been estabilished near the restaurant, where the guests can enjoy the hotel atmosphere, pleasant music and delicious dishes and drinks. Newly, the hotel Constans proudly presents the meeting room space, suitable for up to 62 persons /theatre seating/. The meeting room is 71,2 square meters, equipped by air-conditioning, WC, TV-set and white board for screen projection. Any other technical equipment available on request. Coffee breaks can be held directly in the meeting room or outside on the terrace or in the winter garden.

The hotel restaurant is sensitively placed in the original ground floor rooms with arched or beam ceilings. It is divided into 3 parts with interesting architecture. Visitors can enjoy the private and quiet atmosphere together with excellent food and brand wines. You can also enjoy the newly opened winter garden close to the restaurant, with flowers and a roof of glass – possible to use at any weather conditions. Area information :

The first of the 3 houses was founded by the court pâté maker Patrick Urban of Czensaye in 1617. In 1622 Mr. Pettman bought the house, extended it and named it "At Seven Candlesticks". Subsequently the house was heavily damaged during Saxon-Swedish campaign. In 1667 under the circumstances in the Czech kingdom the house was bought by Jan Jindrich Preuner, a court tailor and in 1690 acquired by well-known European painter with a strong influence Vaclav Hranicky and his wife Constans. Constans finally committed the house to her second younger husband Isaak Godini who was a well-known Italian painter of Jewish origin (known as Godini). In 1802 the house received a new owner Josef Dvoran, a member of the lower nobility, and his family. Later on the owners changed very often. In 1815 a builder Zacharias Fiegert under the instructions of the Lauchtenschlager family added new floors to the building that thus gained its present appearance. The interior gained its present appearance after big fire in 1834. The other house was founded in 1602 by its owner Jacob Teyfl (servant of court chamber) who later sold it to one of the members of Kinsky family secret councilman Ferdinand Earl Kinsky. He expanded trading activities in this area. Under the influence of economic situation in the country the owners changed very often. In 1804 the family of the builder Aloise Palliardi and his wife Magdalena acquired the building. Thanks its favourable position near the Castle the building has been extended and its part has been preserved up to the present.
